Prix de West 2021
Prix de West is the nation’s premier Western art exhibition and sale showcasing original works ranging from historical depictions of the American West to more contemporary and impressionistic pieces. This exhibition is organized by the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum.
The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum hosts its prestigious invitational art exhibit of nearly 300 Western paintings and sculptures by the finest contemporary Western artists in the nation with art seminars, receptions and awards banquet. The exhibiting artists bring a diversity of styles to this prestigious art exhibition. The works range from historical pieces that reflect the early days of the West, to more contemporary and impressionist works of art. Landscapes, wildlife and illustrative scenes are always highlighted in the exhibition.
This annual exhibition kicks off with two days of seminars on art-related topics and art demonstrations. The weekend culminates with a fixed-price sale of all the exhibition pieces.
This year’s exciting Live Auction was part of the closing festivities following the fixed-price draw for art. Guests had the opportunity to bid on works from many favorite Prix de West artists including Tom Browning, Brent Cotton, Glenn Dean, Jeremy Lipking, John Moyers and Kyle Polzin. Following the Live Auction was the presentation of the Jackie L. Coles Buyers’ Choice Award. .
