Magical Blue Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club Wedding
We were thrilled to be part of Maggie and John’s special day!
Margaret “Maggie” Lee Pierce and John William English exchanged wedding vows June 22, 2013, at All Souls Episcopal Church in Oklahoma City.
For her wedding, the bride chose a gown by designer Elizabeth Fillmore. The Baroque pattern of the fabric was reminiscent of lace but was laser-cut satin. The modified sweetheart neckline was V-shape and the laser-cut satin was scalloped. The trumpet-shaped gown had a long train. To complete her bridal look, she chose an Alencon lace veil.
The bride’s bouquet was a cascade of white orchids. The bridesmaids carried calla lilies. The church was decorated in a combination of calla lilies and white orchids.
A reception took place at the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club. The country club was transformed using a blue party theme with ice sculptures including an ice bar and ice floral vases.
The multi-tiered wedding cake mirrored the floral themes, and the groom’s cake nodded to the OU Sooners. Music during the wedding was performed by the Tulsa Boy Singers. Music during the reception was performed by the SoulSations from Memphis, Tenn.
Maggie and John celebrated with a honeymoon trip to Costa Rica. Wishing them a lifetime of happiness!
